A 10-year-old Morgan 3-wheeler has been approved for entry into the show – the first wild card pass in our history – despite it being 15 years younger than the entry requirements.
Hand built by Morgan the 3-wheeler is a 2014 model styled after the original Morgan 3- wheeler of the 1930s. It’s the proud possession of Terry Maloy of Washington in Tyne & Wear and is one of only 50 of the Brooklands Supersport edition produced by Morgan the majority of which were exported to the US and Europe.
The Morgan, which is making its Classics on Show debut this year, is powered by a 2 litre V twin engine and can do 0-60 in five seconds.
We decided to give the wild car pass as we deem the Morgan to be “a classic” with strong visitor appeal.
