More than 2,500 visitors flocked to our 2025 event, which is now a firm fixture in the North Yorkshire social calendar. On display were over 500 classic vehicles, including vintage cars, commercial vans, tractors, motorbikes, buses and—making its debut this year—a lively new Campervan Corner, showcasing lovingly restored and creatively converted vans.
As ever, the event combined passion for motoring heritage with a strong community purpose, raising valuable funds for Rotary causes and local charities.
One of the day’s most talked-about highlights came courtesy of newlyweds Sam Reaman and Matthew Tanfield, who were surprised by a grand entrance through the show in a 1914 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. The historic vehicle—one of only around five ever bodied by H.A. Hamshaw Ltd and still retaining its original chassis, engine, and coachwork—was met with cheers, applause and the joyful sound of honking horns from exhibitors and visitors alike as it transported the couple from their wedding in Great Ayton to their reception. After dropping them off, the Silver Ghost returned to the show to take pride of place on display.
The 2025 result proved that Classics on Show isn’t just a celebration of remarkable vehicles but also a celebration of community spirit. Bring on 2026!
