A 1968 Buick Wildcat slim pillar, the only one in the UK and which has starred in a Hollywood Blockbuster, A TV national charity fundraiser and a French high fashion magazine shoot is joining our expanding Classics on Show cast.
The Buick Wildcat is the proud possession of former Jaguar car designer and self-confessed American car fan Joseph Buck of Scorton, Richmondshire, who has steered the car into a cameo role in the Tim Burton directed vampire fantasy movie Dark Shadows starring Johnny Depp and Michele Pfeiffer, the BBC Children in Need Eastenders’ spoof, and a high fashion shoot for Vogue France.
Only 15,000 of the imposing slim pillar Wildcat, which is 18 foot long and 7 foot wide, were made by Buick and only 6 are known to exist now. “It’s a very rare model, even in America,” explained Joseph.
